Malkah, Sarah and her friends…

Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf teacher Malkah Bird, 29, of Swissvale, visits with her student Sarah Richardson, 15, at Children’s Hospital Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Bird works with Richardson at the hospital daily on skills she was learning at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf before she was diagnosed with cancer.

  2. This is an AWE thing for what the Teacher did for her and its was an Blessing for Sarah and Malkah Bird have that “PLAY IT FORWARD” to others.

  6. we re sorry to hear about sarah. and i want her go up in heaven with God and Jesus. they ll take care of her. she ll be happy to walk and have be with friends around in heaven,, she ll look at you and love you very much.

    i always watched her during lunch time when i served her she so sweet. but funny what she s doing. smile

    I’ll miss you…. I’ll never forget about you past time in school. I can’t believe you rest in peace. I try to cry but I was hold myself because I can’t believe you are gone it so young. I wish you are still alive because i like to see what you will got future life but you’re gone it toolate. I hope you will glad in heavan. I hope you will wait for us of wpsder student. We’ll miss you. We’ll never forget about you. You’re sweet girl in Wpsd. I know you longer time because I always get laught when you won’t in door during people come in the door then you walk to door after people coming through the door. It so funny and you are so sweet girl even I seen you in wpsder. I know you got hard life and suffer in hospital. I hope you glad see to god. The god will glad seen you in Heaven and meet to Devon. It hard feeling for me. I will miss you and devon. I glad Malkah did there for you almost everyday because she cared about you. She loves you so much. She will hard feeling for let you go.   8. I’m Sarah’s Mom and I would like to thank everyone for their kind words; and sharing their memories and love for her. It takes away a little of the sadness to know how she affected people’s lives. I love WPSD, Malkah and all the staff there!
