Chief Harper
Pittsburgh police chief Nate Harper on the scene at the National City bank in Shadyside where an actor who attempted to rob the bank fled after exchanging fire with a uniformed police officer on detail at the bank Thursday, January 8, 2009. The police officer was not harmed, however the actor was shot but was able to get away in a silver vehicle.
Nate, I just wanted to say how proud I am of the great job done by the bureau and you, the chief, this week. They were good men and deserved the best and they got that. I still pray everyday for all of you. I’m proud to tell everyone…chief Harper and I are classmates…good luck and if I can ever help please give me a call.
